I liked to use the expression in AfterEffects, definitely interested to learn more about this. It saved me a lot of time and much easier for editing as far as some looping goes.
But how can I stop the loop at a certain timeframe after using the loop_Out expressions?
In general, I am quite happy how the illustration turns out...except needs to work on the animation of the character more. I think if I could to add some sound effects it could be better.

- A good basic exploration of the idea of the mechanism. Might I say that you are on to something, I'd simply love to see several notes pouring out of out part of the of the comp. This "flood" of notes then turns a wheel, which powers the machine, which in turn powers the dancing robot.
The single note doesn't seem to fully capture the essence of music powering the machine. Perhaps think of the music as if it were water flowing over the mechanism.
The character animation is smooth, but the gears dont seem exactly syncronized, maybe that's not important though. You seem to have some "flickering" where some objects will dissapear for a frame. However, overall, I think this is a very clean peice.
i think it a successful piece. i am glad to see that you used music to generate your dancing robot.
NICE i like it! as if he comes to life when the music begins. I wish he would dance for a while longer!
The character animation is nice, but it doesn't seem like it is effected by the other parts. Maybe you could figure out a better way to link them together.
