In this assignment, I further experiment the possibility of using different transitions such as blending in through the colors, size and shapes, to create a more blend-in effect between each scene. I was hoping I could make the scenes blends better for a seamless effect but now I feel like I am ready to start on another project instead of editing this one.
I have drawn a mechanical character of Chopin instead of finding bitmap and collage one because I find illustrations much more interesting. I decided not to use color because most piano keys nowadays are black and white. Chopin, from the books and photos that I have seen is slim and tall (sick all the time), so I decided to mimic that and put a metronome for his body.

- Much more fluid transitions this time, and the overall comp has a more structured feel. Certainly far stronger than the last presentation.
- Careful though, the first spinning image that appears stops spinning before it vanishes. A minor glitch worth fixing.
- Candles are much more interesting now with just the flame. Perhaps add a whisp of smoke when they vanish? Just something subtle instead of them vanishing so suddenly.
- The three glass objects over the flower are nicely positioned, however the far right one and the middle have graphical glitches. Showing white background instead of black.
- Is the last image important? As the project could just close with the petal zoom in.
The candle screen is pretty nice. I think overall you're doing a better job with transitions and having some objects bleed over onto other scenes is a good decision.
i like this much better. i consentration on the candle at the begining of your comp. The entire piece is more alive. I think you presented the candle flicker much better, and i think the flutters as if it is moved my sound waves
I love the multiple candles, yet I am still looking for that other flower pedal. The transitions are much stronger and overlapping images works well!
Much better cuts, and the multiple flickering candles works great. However on the flower/petals I see a couple glitches, I think the mask is slightly changing shape which means you need to make sure you have set the keyframes up and not added an unnecessary one. Also the last frame seems to just come out of nowhere and lead nowhere. Its sort of just tacked on there at the end. I also have a slight problem with the ice where a petal just appears in a part of the ice and then flies toward the camera. It may have been better to use something involving the ice to transition to the next part rather than reintroducing the flower petals.
I think the beggining starts out well. The small flickering lights work better than the still shots you had last week. The ending seems to have a stronger transition between scenes with the one pettle falling off.
